Puppet Costume Creation
I create costumes that enhance the puppet’s personality. From Eleanor’s perfectly proportioned jeans and bomber jacket to Matata’s safari uniform, every piece is crafted with the same care and precision as a full-scale wardrobe. Working alongside Talk to the Hand Puppets, I approach every garment with consideration and include fully functional features, whether it’s a spy-style tactical jacket for Perry the Pig of the Quorn adverts or transforming an extra, extra large sheriff’s shirt from the costume department into Little Tom’s outfit for Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
My process balances storytelling, functionality, collaboration, and durability, ensuring each puppet can move freely while staying camera-ready. From fabric sourcing to final styling, working pockets to the perfect shoes, I focus on the elements that make the characters feel real, because in miniature costuming, even the smallest imperfection can destroy the illusion.
